THE BEST ON INTERIOR DECORATION : CHRISTIAN LIAIGRE

"Probably the most important - certainly the most copied- designer of our time."  The Financial Times did not exaggerate.

HIS WORDS : "I am convinced the exposure to a chaotic onslaught of sensory experiences creates a need for an environment that induces calm, Zen calm. No fuss, no bother, nothing superfluous."

HIS STYLE : Luxurious dark-wood minimalism and masculine palette of creams, browns and greys have done nothing less than redefine modernism.
Christian LIAIGRE's spaces reflect an instinctive aversion to the clamour of modern life.
He favours exotic African timbers such as wenge and ebony, linen, silk and wool, marble and natural stone and of course, his signature bronze hardware.

Christian LIAIGRE draws inspiration from the rugged textures of the French Atlantic coast where he grew up, from the fine leathers and age-old craftsmanship of the local saddle-makers, and from a passion for thoroughbreds.

HIS PROJECTS : After his major works as the Puerta America hotel in Madrid or the La Société restaurant in Paris, Christian LIAIGRE is always in between Antwerp, New York, Corsica and Paris.
