The "Master of Aix" , alias Paul CEZANNE himself, good buddy of his fellow Impressionnists Monet, Renoir and Pissarro to name a few of his clan , spent a good 44 years in Paris and its whereabouts between 1861 and 1905, ( Cézanne died in 1906). This rich exhibit presented at the MUSEE Du LUXEMBOURG till February 2012 will seduce you with a master collection of many of Cézanne's portraits, nudes, stiil-lives and sceneries.

Paul, though very Impressionnist in his mind, manner and work, gave a new importance to colour mixed with geometry. He became one of the founders of Fauvism, Cubism and Constructivism ( nothing to do with the Big 5, nor with cubes nor with building of any kind Dah ! and if those words sound like Chinese to you , move on to Wikipedia for more info Dah !) .

CEZANNE ET PARIS
MUSEE DU LUXEMBOURG
till February 26th, 2012... still a few weeks for you to go !!!!! About 80 works of art, so be prepared .
By the way, Zola, yes, Honey, THE writer, that old fellow who knew so well how to depict society, so, Zola was CEZANNE's good friend from early childhood ( they were sort of brought up together) but ... Zola made a huge mega top blunder : in his 1st novel, who did he take inspiration from to draw a looser of a painter ? Bet on it, his own friend Paul ! Oh My !!! Cézanne never forgave him . Ever !
