Rose created an iconic ballet flat for French actress Brigitte Bardot, the "Cendrillon" ballerina, who gained celebrity in the very sexy movie "Et Dieu Créa La Femme" .
In the 1970s, Serge Gainsbourg got on board, buying a good 30 pairs per year.
Though the company still creates actual dance shoes worn by all the superstars of the Ballet world Nureev, the whole Kirov Ballet company, Maurice Béjard and many more, REPETTO came back to the general public with creations made by famous designers like Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garçons, Catherine Malandrino, and now the Big Karl.
