PHOTO NEWS : "REPORTERS SANS FRONTIERES" AT THE PETIT PALAIS

September 9th, 2010 till FEBRUARY 27th, 2011, PIERRE and ALEXANDRA BOULAT share their passionnate view on our world through 100 photos at the PETIT PALAIS.

Alexandra BOULAT from "REPORTERS SANS FRONTIERES"

Pierre and Alexandra BOULAT shared a very human but also disarming look on the poor suburbs of Nanterre in the 50's as on the suffering of Afghanistan mothers. They all have that intensity, that power quite overwhelming sometimes.

Ugh.

.

Alexandra died at 45, was born in 1962, was deeply interested in the children's traffic in Romania, in Yasser Arafat's family life as well as in awe
of Yves Saint Laurent's last Haute Couture fashion show.

Pierre BOULAT, her father, died in 1998, at 73. He started a 23 year relationship with Life Magazine when he happened to publish a photo of a tornado in Paris ! Scary !
He shot Edith Piaf but also life in Gaza with the same focus on humanity.

Don't miss that exhibit.
